Software brings the functionality of our designs to life.

From user interfaces like touchscreen controls to real-time systems, LIS and wireless connectivity - at Fusion-Biotec we've designed them all. Our software is custom-made to be compatible with small hand-held devices to floor-standing automated diagnostic instruments. The software we provide always includes embedded test features and we ensure that all designs follow FDA design control processes.

 

Our full stack software offerings include: ​

FUSION REACTOR

Fusion Reactor is our prototype software tool that enables your device to connect seamlessly to instruments and allow for extraordinary diagnostic capabilities. Reactor is designed to provide a gateway into the hardware running Fusion-Biotec’s core firmware. It was 

developed in Python, which enables you to implement easy-to-use scripting capability to better test firmware functionalities. The Reactor exposes how our firmware interacts with the hardware, giving the user the options to instrument, test and tune the system - without needing to call one of our software engineers. 

Reactor's user interface includes controls to enable I/O functions, read sensors, and graph data in real-time. Reactor is Python based and is easily configurable to develop customizable Python scripts. This functionality allows users to create and control a completely automated regression test system for your device. If users need assistance with writing the script, we provide a convenient and easy-to-use interface that allows for building and editing scripts in seconds. ​

FUSION'S CORE FIRMWARE

Fusion's Core Firmware is the heart of every firmware project developed by Fusion-Biotec. It is a validated, real-time embedded codebase designed to meet the safety and critical needs of medical devices. The embedded core provides the glue between Reactor and the rest of the device firmware. Fusion Core is a combination of pre-developed device drivers, Inter/Intra communication layers, and codebases designed specifically for needs of medical instruments.

The architecture of Fusion Core enables your embedded software to also run on a PC platform (Windows, Linux or MacOS). Running the code on a PC allows you to develop simulators for your embedded target easily. It also enables you to unit test your firmware code, which paves the way for implementing continuous integration to streamline development.
